Meet Deborah
About Us
Hello! I’m Deborah Revels, a clinical intern in the final phase of the Master of Social Work (MSW) clinician program at Florida State University. I am dedicated to helping individuals navigate challenges by discovering and leveraging their inner strengths to find solutions. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space for clients to explore their emotions, build resilience, and achieve personal growth.

Before pursuing a MSW, I received my undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida. In addition to having a family, I have held many positions in various areas, from corporate management to teaching prekindergarten. These roles and life experiences have given me a unique view of various life rewards and challenges.
As a clinician, my focus is primarily on women and all the highs and lows encountered throughout the span of womanhood. This includes, but is not limited to: the exploration of identity and the impact of hormonal shifts on mental health (early womanhood, fertility challenges, perinatal, postpartum, and menopause). Additionally I support women through periods of adjustment, such as: work changes, life and family transitions (such as shifts in family structure, a child receiving a disability or neurodiversity diagnosis, challenging health diagnoses for family members), and loss (empty nest, decline of a spouse, loss of a child or loved one).

In addition to working with women, I also work with teens and children through issues related to general mental health, life transitions, and adjustment.

Deborah is available for in-person appointments and for virtual appointments for those in NC.
